IMPACT FEES
Effective June 9, 2007 the Town of Astatula will be collecting impact fees as follow:
Single Family Residences Including Manufactured Homes: Park Impact Fee $ 949.50 per dwelling Public Facilities $2570.00 per dwelling
Non-Residential: Public Facilities $1570.00 per 1,000 sq. ft.

The Special Magistrate for the Town of Astatula is Denise Lyn.
The Special Magistrate's role is to become involved with an open code violation at the point when the first two notifications to correct the violation have been ignored. The Special Magistrate will then convene a hearing in order to determine the amount and frequency of the fine to be imposed, and at which time a lien shall be filed against the property.

VEOLIA WASTE SERVICES Formerly Onyx Waste Services
TELEPHONE 352-429-2009 VEOLIA will pick up white goods, i.e. stoves, refrigerators, washers, dryers, etc. Residents need to call Veolia to have these items picked up on Tuesdays at the curb by calling Veolia. These items will be picked up at no charge.
Brown goods, i.e. furniture can be picked up at the curb by calling VEOLIA.
There will be no charge for this service unless there are numerous items (more than 3) then a supervisor will quote a charge to be paid by the resident upon pick up.
OUR GARBAGE COLLECTION
The 4 yr contract with Veolia is being completed and ready for the council to sign. Here are the highlights:

The rate for garbage p/u is $51.27 per quarter.

A 96 gallon garbage cart will be provided and for those of you who want a smaller container that can be arranged.

A seond can will be available for an extra $3.50/per month

Cans cannot be overload
-
Cans must be made accesible and not ostructed

The pickup days will remain the same with the times staying fairly consistant.
-
Yard wastes will still be picked up as will white goods that are being discarded.
